Music Ascension is looking for an inspiring, greatly skilled, organized, and enthusiastic DJ/Educator to work with campers (ages 8-15) at CAMP IHC, a highly regarded sleep-away summer camp in Eastern Pennsylvania . Seeking a candidate that is well versed in DJ software/stations and has experience facilitating music classes for groups of kids.

Music Ascension is a music education company based in Kingston, NY that provides wide-ranging music programs for premier sleep away camps as well as schools throughout the Northeast. For over 25 years, Music Ascension has inspired camp communities by helping young people discover, develop, and share their creative voices. In addition to our DJ Programs, we have designed, built, and equipped multi-room recording studios in which campers write and record their own music.

In this position as DJ Director, you will be responsible for the continuation and further development of the CAMP IHC DJ program largely according to your own skill set and vision . A typical day would have you facilitating 4-6 classes of 3-16 campers at a time. We run the DJ Program 6 days a week so you will have a 30 hour day off every week. There are no teaching responsibilities in the evening hours however you will be expected to be with your group of campers during meals and Evening Activity.

The DJ Room is equipped with Traktor and Serato so experience with these platforms is required.

Applicants must be flexible, positive-minded, and able to help cultivate a fun, educational, and inspired CAMP community.

Though you will have the ability to use the DJ Room for your own work at night, please know this is not an Artist-In-Residence position and you will may need to use non-teaching time for session prep.
