David is a true believer in the power of music. A courageous composer and producer, David’s goal is to change the world one song at a time. His passion for music has taken him on many journeys that include working with young kids to touring the world as a performer. He is experienced in many genres including Reggaeton, R&B, Country, Pop and Rock.
David’s approach to music starts with a feeling or emotion. There is a voice inside each one of us and as a facilitator David attempts to extract that from everyone with whom he works. Theory and traditional music practices can be dull and uninspiring, but David has the vision and the personality to turn the process of exploring music into a fun and enriching experience for all involved. Like all great educators, David knows he can learn as much from his students as they can from him.
His experience as a music educator is wide ranging. David worked for several years with Gymboree in his home country of Colombia. He held various roles with the company and facilitated group workshops for infants only 6 months old all the way up to kindergarteners. Working with very young children can be challenging, but David’s energy and drive brought much success in this environment. David has also taught private lessons and given lectures on songwriting and the emotional link to music at Antonio Navaro University in Bogotá.
David’s unique approach to music has also granted much success writing music for TV, film and commercial use. He has produced his own solo albums, and had the opportunity to work with the label Raw Entertainment in Miami. Here he was relied on for his expertise as a songwriter and producer for new and emerging artists on the label’s roster. It is this combination of expertise, vision and passion for music that makes David the type of artist that can inspire the next generation of musicians.
