Chapel Hill Academy

Since 2005, Music Ascension has been integrated into the fabric of the school offering Songwriting & Music Production, Beat Production, Chorus, Drum Circles, General Music, Drama Arts and Instrument Study.  We have also built a flourishing Performing Arts program that is supported by a highly effective student Stage Crew program. 

Music Ascension operates a two room, fully-integrated recording studio that uses ProTools, Reason, Ableton Live,  Native Instruments Maschine  and other production software. Students work collaboratively to write and perform their own songs. Every June we hold a CD release listening party at which students celebrate the original music, lyrics, and artwork they contribute to this year-long project! These songs have touched all genres from spoken word to hip-hop to folk rock.
