SKYELAR GINSBERG

Skyelar is a multifaceted musician and natural leader. She is the leader of her a cappella group at Carleton College, and has produced her own podcast and hosted radio shows. She has been able to hone her skills as a facilitator working in the Minnesota public school system and she has experience working at summer camps in her home state of Oregon.

From her experience as a camp counselor it is clear that Skyelar has a passion for empowering and educating young people. She is well versed in camp life as she has had success making personal connections on the ropes course and leading music based games. She is the type of person that embraces the community and welcomes the personal growth that comes with being a leader for kids.

Skyelar’s unique ability to cross genres and explore new sonic possibilities can instantly be heard when going through her catalog of music. Her compositions range from classical chorales to folk, pop and ambient electronic.

Skyelar has an impressive body of work behind her as a composer and educator. Her private composition professor at Carleton described her as “the best student” he’s ever had. She goes above and beyond to ensure her work is of the highest quality, and welcomes new challenges as an opportunity to learn and grow.
